He amazes me!

I was playing around on the computer earlier and Little Brian was sitting on my lap. We were checking out the Hodges son's myspace and he saw a picture of Marshall and Earl. our conversation went like this:
Brian- there my marshall and my Earl. I love my Marshall

me-thats sweet. Where is Earl now?

Brian- Earl in Heaben. *pointing up* Earl in Heaben with God.

me-*speechless*

Yes he is only 2 1/2 and no I did not tell him that but one time the day that Earl died over a month ago! I called Mrs. Hodge and asked her if she had told him that and she said she had been meaning to ask me the same because he has been telling her this also. AMAZING! As adults it is so hard for us to deal with death, because we just think to much about it, but my 2 1/2 year old just gets it. To him it is that simple. Earl died and now he is in Heaven with God.

Construction work going on at our house!

It is amazing with all the sick kiddos that we manage to get anything else done lately but here is proof! Those who have been to our home have seen the horrible iron rail that was in the foyer. It is no more or almost no more. The Daddy decided it was time to replace it with something better so here is the work in progress. As I type he is at Lowes picking up the handrail for the upstairs portion of this project. Oh and for the fans of the lovely notty pine paneling, we are painting it! ****GASP**** Stay tuned for pics of the finished project!

I am not making this stuff up, I swear!

I took Little Brian back to the doctor this morning! He said his ear hurt last night and then woke up a few times in the middle of the night screaming like I have never heard because it hurt so bad. I couldnt even get him to swallow his Motrin all the way so the doc gave him some drops and antibiotics for the 2, not 1, but 2 major ear infections! I think I need to just start depositing my check into the doctors account from now on!
And for your viewing pleasure, if you have ever wondered what a 2 1/2 year old that has the FLU looks like, well here you go!

Todays project

Hannah had these capris that were a little longer than they should be and also had a small hole in the knee so I cut them off, added the ruffle on the legs and made the snazzy belt to finish them up. I think they have more of a boutique look to them now!

I think this will be Hannah's Easter dress. She really likes it and it fits her. It isnt perfect but I am pleased with it since it is my first one.

How a good day goes bad

Please read previous post first. Man it was a good day and then Mrs Hodge called and told me that Little Brian had a seizure. It was a febrile seizure(fever related) so that is good but it usually means he is about to get the crud of some sort. As of right now he is doing great and back to his crazy self. We are goign to see teh pediatrician at 8:30 in the morning and discuss the seizures more and what our options are.

Im so excited!

A couple of things,
First Dh started the process of redoing our stairs. We are also painting the foyer after the staris are in place. I will get some before pics on here later.

Second I finally talked myself into buying a serger that I have had my eye on for a while! Got a good deal on it in the process.

That is all for now. Hope everyone is doing well!

Let the potty training begin!

I took Little Brian to Kmart tonight and we picked out a pack of real deal big boy underwear or big boy panties as he calls them. Poor thing with two sisters only knows them as panties! He had to have the ones with Sponge Bob on them. So we get home and I showed them to hima nd he really wanted them, but I told him he could have one pair if he went pee or poopy on the potty. After about five minutes of sitting and waiting I heard pee! He had a grin from ear to ear! SO we put his diaper back on and on top went his new big boy Sponge Bob panties! To top it off he went pee a seond time before bed! This is only day one but I hope it continues to go this well!

Introduction thursday!

So I really have not thought much about posting the last couple of days because I have been trying to get everyone well in our house. I have not uploaded any new photos so I thought it would be fun to go back to what I have had on the computer and find some fun ones. These are the ones I came up with. The first one is of Hannah ans my sister, Summer, climbing like monkeys on my brother,Michael's back while Little Brian is doing something to his hair, lol.

The second one is of my sister, Cindy, coloring with Little Brian. I swear when either one of them are here there is not a dull moment. Well enjoy and hopefully I will be back in the swing before the weekend is up!

Looks like a case of the MONDAYS!

Ha! To say the least! I reluctantly drag my butt out of bed this morning, get the kids ready for school, get myself ready for work, you know the drill. I drive 30 miles to Nashville and am about to turn to take Little Brian to Mrs Hodges when my phone rings. ACK! It is the school. Hannah puked on the bus! Unfortunately Daddy has already left for work also so I have to turn around and drive 30 miles back home and take care of Hannah today. Now if that doesnt make it a monday, The Daddy calls around lunch time to inform me that he was not going to make it through the day because he too is feeling pukey. Once he is home I take Little Brian with me to the grocery to get some things to make chicken soup. Agian with the phone ringing! Daddy says I need to hurry cause Hannah puked again. I get home and there is a cardboard box in the middle of the floor in the hallway. Does anyone want to guess why? Because the Daddy is not good at cleaning up puke, his cat like instincts go to work and he decides to cover it up until I get home. Hopefully all will be well in the morning.

Oh and I don't think I updated the puppy saga lately, but we are at five now. #6 is no longer with us. Mama dog and puppies were outside for a bit this weekend with the nice weather and we think a hawk may have gotten ahold of the little one. No sign of him at all. Needless to say they are all in the house for good now.

Have a good night everyone. This Mama is about to get some rest!

Dont eat the baby!

Is this not the funniest picture ever? Of course you can see my dirty laundry in the background, but I am talking about Kristen who looks like she is about to bite Little Brian's ear off! I really am not sure what she was trying to accomplish with this pose, but it did make for funny blog material. Thank you Kristen!

Final count!

First, let me answer a question. We have a german shepard. Her puppies however are not purebred as we were told she was unable to have puppies. Not quite. The daddy is a mut, lol. Kinda like Lady and the Tramp.

Now I counted and recounted and we have 6! I will get better pictures in a few days, but I am trying to respect the new mama's privacy, lol.

The puppies are here, well I think, lol!

I know, I am a bad furmomma. I dont have pictures yet, but I will tomorrow. The thing is I don't know for sure if all of the puppies are here yet. Last count about 30 minutes ago was 5. I let Anna stay outside today so shecould get some fresh air. She had not been feeling well the last couple of days so I though I wouldput her on her cable, but when i got home she had already had 3 puppies so I got her and the puppies moved in the house, all the while thinking "Yay, only 3!" I took the kids to Wendys, came home, and then there were 4! EEEEP! I went an hour later to check on her and out pops #5 right before my eyes. DOUBLE EEEEEP! So now we wait. I have to go check on my doggie now and make sure we don't have anymore newbies in there.

Back in the day sunday!

November Rain. Does anyone remember that song by G-N-R? It definately used to be my favorite. Last night I had my kids plus a friend of Kristens in the car driving home when it came on. "OOOOH, I love this song!" I said. I could just feel their little eyes rolling behind me. Little did they know this is one of the longest songs evah!
Now this song made Kristen think about why she doesnt like to listen to her favorite radio station on sunday nights. I am sure those of you who used to worship the 90's music will love this one. For the non- locals, our pop station does a segment on sunday night where they play only 90's music. It is called "Back in the day, Sunday". Kristen said last night that she can't listen to all of that old music. What?! Well it only began there.
They then got to talking about dog years and politely asked me how old I would be if I were a dog. Do you know what I told them?

........."I would be a dead dog!" Gotta love that innocence!

AACK! The sickies have invaded!

Hannah woke up yesterday morning not feeling well but as the day went on she was actually feeling like normal so I let her go with her friends to the new Hannah Montanna movie last night. When she got back she was feeling a little puny again and one of the other mothers said that strep had been going around their friend circle so I figured if she felt bad this morning I would take her to the pediatrician.
Well we went and they did a strep test. Doc said it was negative and she had a virus and off we went. About 20 minutes later my cell rings and it was the doctors office. Guess what? The nurse was about to throw her test away when she noticed it had turned positive. Barely, but positive. So they called her in an antibiotic and we are home now. Kristen spent the night at a friends last night and I managed to get them to let her stay tonight in hopes that she won't be exposed any more than she already has been.

Hopefully no one else will get it......... fat chance!

how much can one cram into a single post?

Lets find out?

So first things first, I talked to the pediatrician this morning about the MRI and they found no signs of tumors, masses, ect. I knew that was the purpose of the MRI but today was the first time those scary words were mentioned. Our pediatrician is going to get with the neurologist to discuss it further but so far so good.

Now second, How long does it take one child to break their new glasses? 6 days. Yep Hannah thought Brian looked cute in them, but little did she know he would snap them in two. Its a good thing we have friends in the eye business!

Aaaahhh, now the last thing and probably one of the most stressful for us. For those who dont know, we have a german shepard. Her name is Anna and she is 4. We got her last year from a friend who breeds them. He had to find her a home because after several failed attempts at breeding and testing, she was deemed unable to have puppies.
Now with that being said we have procrastinated about getting her fixed. Guess we waited too late, because she is due to have a litter in the next week or two! This would not be so bad, but we are the responsible pet owner here and when our dog is out we are watching her or she is on her cable. She does stay in most of the time, but apparently a stray got to her. Of course the kids are very excited and think that they getting puppies, but little do they know we will be finding homes for them as soon as they are weened.

Anyone want a mut puupy?

That is about it. Hope everyone else is doing well!
